What type of databases do you support?
On Unix we support Perl-based databases,
PostgreSQL, and mySQL.
You need to be on our corporate plan in order to make use of mySQL.
On Microsoft Windows we support Microsoft Access, Mysql, and Postgresql.
You need to be on the Windows
Professional plan for
Microsoft Access. You need to be on the Windows
Corporate plan to handle all three engines.

Are there any concerns I should have when using Microsoft Access or
any desktop database on the web?
Yes. Microsoft Corporation has stated that Microsoft Access should only be used
to prototype (prove) an idea. Microsoft states that Microsoft SQL Server should be
used for any serious database development on the web.
Skip Purdy, a Microsoft Account Executive for their Internet Customer Unit, has told us
that Microsoft Access only supports up to 25 simultaneous connections to a given database.
Kevin Spencer, a noted expert on databases on the web, stated his experience has been
that Microsoft Access can support between 400 and 500 concurrent users per database.
The bottom line is if your "Windows 2000 database on the web" application is serious,
use Microsoft SQL Server.

Do I have to use Windows 2000 in order to be able to use Microsoft Access?
No. You can use the free ODBC driver for 9x/NT/2000 to utilize Microsoft Access and
mySQL.
